Elapsed duration of the Mission is 29 year 3 months and Mission decay is estimate 2030 to 2040.

Apollo 11 spaceflight was the first ever humans landed on the moon. The Lunar mission was launched at July 16, 1969 from Kennedy Space Station and Ends at July 24, 2019 at South Pacific Ocean. 

  • Total duration of the mission 8 days 3 hours 18 minutes 
  • Apollo Lunar Module Eagle landed on Moon July 20, 1969,and spends 6 hours 39 minutes 
  • July 20, 1969 Neil Armstrong and Aldrin walked on moon surface for 2 hours, 31 minutes

Destination: Pluto (2016)

New Horizon
World's First mission to explore the Pluto and Kuiper Belts. 


The New Horizons Space Craft launched on January 19, 2006 to explore the Jupiter, Pluto and moons, Charon, Nix and Hydra, then its study Kuiper belts region. One of the fastest space craft which travel 36,000 miles per hour and it cross over 3 billion miles from the earth. The New horizons reached the nearest Pluto approach on July 14, 2015. 

Space Craft was designed by The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, Maryland. The space craft is operates and managed by NASA’s Science Mission Directorate headed by Mr. Alan Stern. 




The Space Craft consists seven science instruments to study the Jupiter, Pluto and Kuiper belts



  • ALICE & RALPH analysis the Visible ultraviolet and infrared imager/spectrometer 
  • REX: (Radio Science EXperiment)
  • LORRI: (Long Range Reconnaissance Imager) telescopic camera
  • SWAP: (Solar Wind Around Pluto)
  • PEPSSI: (Pluto Energetic Particle Spectrometer Science Investigation) 
  • SDC: (Student Dust Counter)
